September already

Wow how summer flew by!  It is my favorite time of year!  I love fall weather and bonfires!  We had a few small mini vacations in august that kept us busy so I did not keep up on blogging sorry!  We went to Niagara Falls and took Chloe and Ryan's parents along as well.  I had never been and neither had Chloe but the others had.  It was beautiful.  We were only there a weekend and we did a few hour tour which we cut short but I really wanted to finish it out and see everything but the others were not wanting to sit on the bus any longer to get from place to place which is understandable.  Ryan and I had some great conversations in the car as we do not get much time to see each one another or talk to each other.  We stopped on the way and stayed with a cousin of his Katie and her husband.  I really enjoyed them.  We then went to West Virginia and went camping which is not really my thing but Ryan enjoys it and then went white water rafting the following day.  This was fun and different.  I can say that I did it but not sure if I would do it again.  lol!
I have just gotten back into cooking ALOT of things so this week I made a cracked pepper pork tenderloin, chicken, broccoli and rice casserole and chili and my sweet cornbread!
I am having a cocktail party tonight for Ryan's birthday but he doesn't know anything about it!  As far as i know everyone has kept it quite.  On this menu is items for mixed drinks of course, sangria, boston cream cupcakes, pumpkin cupcakes, reindeer food (a chex snack mix), prosciutto wrapped asparagus, bacon wrapped pineapple, pretzel bites with queso, beer bread with spinach dip, wings with ranch and celery, Skyline chili dip w/ tortilla chips, barbeque chicken quesadillas, a tray of pepperoni, cheese, and pickles and then chips.  I am so excited to throw this party and I hope it goes off without a problem.  I will post later this weekend with an update on how it went and how everything turned out.  I hope all of you have a great labor day weekend.
See you later never goodbye!

Lately

Wow! I have not been on here for ever. Sorry everybody. Well we have had several weddings some for food and DJing and some for just DJing. It has finally slowed down so I thought I would take a few minutes to catch up on a few things. I have been working only part time the last few weeks so I have been cooking ALOT! I have also been going through alot of recipes and writing out some new stuff or revamping things that I haven't made for awhile. I really want to make a cherry pie but we are going out of town for the weekend so I promised Ryan that I would wait until we came back. I made chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips this week. Lets see a few other things that I made lately were tuna noodle casserole, salmon kabobs with brown rice, burgers and corn on the cob on the grill, french toast, blueberry belgium waffles, blueberry muffins, and some chicken cordon bleu. I am going to load some pictures very soon so that i can have them on the site as well. I hope that everyone is enjoyng there summer. I am going to start enjoying mine with all this cooking! Eat up!

dinner treats

Tonight I made chicken breast marinated in barbecue sauce then I layered the top with bacon, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. I call it Swiss chicken! I made corn on the cop and macaroni and cheese to go along with it. I did not have it myself but Ryan said it was great. Then we were going to the neighbors so I made an apple cake to take along. Now that was good! Yes I ate dessert and not dinner. Lol! I would usually have made asparagus and some angel hair pasta as side dishes but Chloe wouldn't have eaten any of that so we adjusted a little which is fine. I thought I would give you a little idea of what I like to cook. Hope you are all having a great weekend. Ill write more soon.

what should i wear?

Good evening! I received an invite to meet with the owners of a new event center that is being built here in Grove City. I am not sure if I should do business casual or really dress nice. They are allowing guest to bring in their own catering or entertainment but I want my company to be the one they suggest to people who do not have these things picked out yet. It is a beautiful center and very close so I would love a contract with them. Wish me luck. I will keep you updated! Gotta run and make some broccoli salad. Night all!

Our Business and US

Ryan and I are quite the team, we did not know when we met that each other had this side business that actually would go together as great as we have.  I am the PR person of the whole thing.  We live in a lovely house in Grove City and I enjoy decorating inside and out.  We do not have any pets but we are looking to get a dog here at the end of summer and I can not wait.  Ryan has a daughter who is 6 and she is with us often and we really enjoy her company and finding new things to do with her.  My nephew is thrilled to have another child around to play with when he is visiting with my parents who live just a few miles down the round from us.  We have enjoyed putting together the business and our families and are excited see what else the future holds for us.  We have had a great few years and between our jobs, social events that we cater, plan or DJ and family activities we stay busy but we make sure to take time out for date nights.  We enjoy taking the bike out for rides or day trips, we attend church here locally in Grove City, we like to try new restaurants, I have enjoyed a few baseball games lately and whatever else happens to come up.  So there is a little bit about us on a personal note.  I hope you have enjoyed learning a little bit about us.  I will go over some of the business events and post some pictures very soon.  Bye for now........

My First Blog!

Hello and welcome to my blog.  I am new at this so it may take me a few days to get the hang of it.  I will not write much tonight as I am getting ready to watch a movie.  I made a great chicken and vegetable linguine with alfredo sauce and then I was worn out from cleaning and doing laundry so we ran out for ice cream.  I will fill you in on my life and its little details tomorrow.  Have a great night everyone..........
