Graduations, weddings and parties

We did wedding number 1 for this season a few weeks back. It was a big success.
A recent graduation party was a lot of fun. They requested sliders, hot dogs, potato salad, fruit kabobs and chips. They loved all of the food and the music for the evening.
In two weeks we have another wedding. I hope everyone is having a great summer so far.

The weekend of many good recipes

Friday night I made no bake cookies which we all can make. Saturday I made French onion burgers and French fries I also made a Red velvet cheesecake and then we went to a local pizza spot for dinner. Sunday was blueberry muffins with fresh blueberries and for lunch I made spaghetti and for the sauce I made a fresh tomato sauce with meatballs and Italian sausage with onions and green peppers. Garlic bread was served also. I have tortilla soup in the crockpot and just finished making tortilla strips to go with the soup.
Ryan has been working on some great music for a valentines dance that we will be doing.

Long time no blog...

Hello! We had a very busy year last year and things are slowing down for us now. I have been working on many new recipes for upcoming events and Ryan has been busy with DJing several events. Valentine's day is coming and we have a dance that we will be DJing. Wedding season heats up aroung May. I hope to post once a week on the blog from here on out.
I hope everyone is doing great and I can't wait to post and start updating on all the events we have to come.

Wedding and party trends

Who doesn't like candy and desserts? We have recently added candy and dessert buffets to our list of services. I have posted a picture of a candy buffet that we put together for a fall wedding. The bride and I made a list of her favorite candy and we went shopping. We did tootsie rolls, Reese's pieces, candy corn, Indian corn, malted milk balls, pumpkin Hershey kisses, sour pumpkins and lollipops. Each bowl had a different candy and the. I put a ribbon on each lollipop and had them sticking out of the candy dishes.
I decorated the table with fall leaves that matched the ones on the center pieces that I made and then placed Hershey kisses all over the table to accentuate the bowls that had been dressed up with fall ribbon. I had heart shaped scoops to get candy out of the bowls and individual little gift bags that guest were able to take home with them. I placed the bags in a beautiful basket on one end of the table.
A-Plus Entertainment makes your event a unique event created from your favorites and hobbies. I look forward to doing more candy or dessert buffets for your upcoming event.

Updates......

Hi everybody!  It has been awhile since I got on here.  We have had several events over the last few months and they have been so great.  A valentine's dinner, weddings and parties!!! I have been trying some new recipes and we are getting some new lighting for the DJ setup!  Ryan and I have also decided to get married.  We are getting married in October in Vegas Baby!  We do so many weddings that we decided we were going a different route with ours.  This is one of the reasons I have not been on to post lately, we are doing a lot of planning!  It's much harder to decide on a meal for your own wedding then it is to help someone else choose what they want.  I keep going back and forth on the food but I have my mind made up about everything else.  Now we just need to have the showers and get things going.  We are both very excited to start this new adventure in our lives.  Well I need to go work on a contract and try to find the items I still need for centerpieces.  Have a great night everyone!  I am going to try so very hard to post a blog after each event that we have.  The next event is a house warming on April 16th...so stay tuned.  Bye for now.

September already

Wow how summer flew by!  It is my favorite time of year!  I love fall weather and bonfires!  We had a few small mini vacations in august that kept us busy so I did not keep up on blogging sorry!  We went to Niagara Falls and took Chloe and Ryan's parents along as well.  I had never been and neither had Chloe but the others had.  It was beautiful.  We were only there a weekend and we did a few hour tour which we cut short but I really wanted to finish it out and see everything but the others were not wanting to sit on the bus any longer to get from place to place which is understandable.  Ryan and I had some great conversations in the car as we do not get much time to see each one another or talk to each other.  We stopped on the way and stayed with a cousin of his Katie and her husband.  I really enjoyed them.  We then went to West Virginia and went camping which is not really my thing but Ryan enjoys it and then went white water rafting the following day.  This was fun and different.  I can say that I did it but not sure if I would do it again.  lol!
I have just gotten back into cooking ALOT of things so this week I made a cracked pepper pork tenderloin, chicken, broccoli and rice casserole and chili and my sweet cornbread!
I am having a cocktail party tonight for Ryan's birthday but he doesn't know anything about it!  As far as i know everyone has kept it quite.  On this menu is items for mixed drinks of course, sangria, boston cream cupcakes, pumpkin cupcakes, reindeer food (a chex snack mix), prosciutto wrapped asparagus, bacon wrapped pineapple, pretzel bites with queso, beer bread with spinach dip, wings with ranch and celery, Skyline chili dip w/ tortilla chips, barbeque chicken quesadillas, a tray of pepperoni, cheese, and pickles and then chips.  I am so excited to throw this party and I hope it goes off without a problem.  I will post later this weekend with an update on how it went and how everything turned out.  I hope all of you have a great labor day weekend.
See you later never goodbye!
